Seminar Overview

This 4-day workshop is designed to present an in-depth description of the process of developing and implementing a national lab policy and implementing, monitoring and evaluating a laboratory strategic plan. The 4th day will address the roles of leadership, communication and team building in the implementation process.

Venue and Dates

The programme will be offered at the African Centre for International Laboratory Training (ACILT) in Johannesburg, South Africa, through collaboration between the Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL), BD and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Participants

This seminar is targeted for experienced senior public health professionals responsible for planning, managing or directing national public health laboratory systems, ensuring the quality of public health laboratory services, and utilizing public health laboratory systems to improve public health.

Tuition/Fees

There is no fee for this training. Participants are responsible for travel, hotel and meal expenses.
